awesome work simo! as usual!
Can you explain a little bit about the rendering sequence ?
i assume you still use linked lists ? and still using 4 bit buckets ?
Its amazing how fast your engine renders. :D
Be patience. I’ll release this engine as opensource and write a proper explanations how it works after this years Assembly.
So you’ll have to wait till August for that. I’m sure it’ll be much better at that point then it’s now.
Yeah, sure I use linked lists and Radix Sorting. The biggest trick happens in renderer where I have some rather clever use of Vector lists. I’ll open that up at the end of the summer.
do you have any plan to share your particles engine?

I will after the 6.-8.8. weekend! :) I’ll have a presentation at Assembly then. If you’re not there you can checkout the presentation later at AssemblyTV and I’ll post an epic post about it on later that week.
as always amazing
Wow! Superb!
Fun experiment to do. I did something similar (luminance for depth) a while back at http://andreas.creunaclient.no/blogfiles/pixelparticles/
I personally found the effect much more, er, effective, with a low z range
Very nice indeed!
