After struggling with all the time slowing down Vista I tried to use Ubuntu as a working enviroment, but that didn’t gave me smooth enough virtual machine for many windows programs that I use and I ended up trying to remove ubuntu and install xp. I totally failed with that process and got to the point where I had no operating system. This whole battle took me over a week and finally one morning I humble asked my co-worker to order me a macbook pro. No more rumble, everything is ridiculous easy.

Welcome to the crowd. Next step: TextMate + AS3 bundle :]
(you got a mistake in title I guess)
Ouch! ;)
I was thinking moving to use FDT because there are
nowno osx version on FlashDevelop that is simply the best as3 coding tool.OSX FlashDevelop? I can’t find anything.. It would be really cool! FDT is too heavy hammer, it needs some competition (I’m not talking about Flex as it’s not a competition).
Ha, ha! :)
You would achieve a never-ending debate with Samuli (tireless advocate of Ubuntu) and Paavo (frustrated FORMER Mac user) on the advantages of different operating systems ;)
the same happened to me :)
FDT is indeed less flexible than FD yet it’s the best MAC tool so far + the recent standalone edition ( http://solutions.powerflasher.com/products/fdt-3-actionscript-editor/news-single-view/article/fdt-standalone/?tx_ttnews%5BbackPid%5D=50&cHash=2371975142 ) can compile swfs (fp9 & 10) and AIR projects… what else ;)
