We were having a party with our office staff last friday in Helsinki. The name of the happening was “UnAmazing pub race” and it was mostly about drinking in several bars in Helsinki. All went well and we had alot of fun etc.. After drinking for 12 hours I realised that my last bus is leaving in 20 minutes. I thought my self that I have plenty of time to catch the bus. I leave in Turku that is 165km from Helsinki and that’s around 2 hours with bus.

When I entered a bus station a man stopped me and asked for one euro. I thought, why not, I have several minutes time until my bus leaves. I tried to find a coin of one euro from my bag, but I only managed to find a coin of 2 euros and gave that to him. After that I rapidly walked to my gate which was number 26. I was only few meters away from the gate when the door closed and bus started to back up. I was screaming and hacking the glass, but the evil busdriver didn’t responsed to me. So there it went, my trip to home and my comfortable night in warm bed.

This new bus station in Helsinki has a waiting room that is warm. Well atleast warm enough that people wont freeze to death. So it’s great place for homeless to spend their night. I desided to join them. There we were sleeping on a ground, me and other homeless fellows. The security staff were really nice and they let us sleep there. I’m so glad I don’t have to sleep there for every night. We have this thing called social security in Finland, but still here leaves alot of homeless people. We have a election of goverment today and I didn’t saw any soupcannons down there…
