Laboratory output n°39 PerlinZoom

Perlin Zoom
(start the show) You need flash9 player to view it. (installation)

Here’s another zoom. This one is inspired by that sweet effect on milkdrop 2.0. To bad there’s no hardware acceleration in flash :(
Seems that firefox doesn’t let flashplayer to use enough cpu power to run this as smoothly as standalone player does. So to get more stable fps and better experience you can download the swf from here.

Winter
4th of January 2007 – Turku Finland +6′C

Because of our north position on globe we don’t get much of the sunlight here from September to March. Our mental saviour has been white snow that brings some light and beauty to our enviroment. Because of warming climate we just had our most hottest December ever here in Finland and January seems to break all records also. This means no snow for us and more rainy darkness, depression and mud.

I can’t even imagine what this will do our biodiversity… too scary stuff..
